Filing Authorization

This authorization sets out the limited authority you give Placetta Inc. ("Placetta") to file license, permit and registration applications for your business. You grant it when you create a workspace. It is part of our Terms of Service.
What you authorize
You appoint Placetta as your authorized agent for one limited purpose:
- to prepare license, permit and registration applications for your business
- to submit the applications you approve, on your behalf, by email from your connected mailbox, by fax, by certified mail or on the agency's website
- to follow up with the agency on those applications, such as checking their status
This authority covers only the filings you approve in the app, exactly as you approved them. Each approval covers that one filing. It covers nothing else. It is not a general power of attorney.
How a filing happens
- Odelia prepares the application from your information and documents.
- You review it in the app. If the form needs a signature, you sign it yourself, in the app or by hand.
- You decide whether to approve it.
- Placetta checks it against the agency's current requirements.
- Placetta's software submits exactly what you approved, by email, fax, certified mail or the agency's website, or our filing team does when no automatic channel fits.
- Every step is recorded in your audit trail.
Signatures
- You sign every application yourself. Placetta places your signature only on the form you signed and approved.
- Placetta never signs your name, and never signs or makes a statement, affidavit or certification for you, including any made under penalty of perjury.
- If an agency website asks for a certification or attestation in your name that you have not signed, Placetta stops and asks you to complete it.
What we never do
- We never submit an application you have not approved in the app.
- We never pay government fees. You pay each agency directly, using the payment link we send you.
- We never appear in person for you where an agency requires you to. You do that yourself.
We may decline a filing
Placetta may refuse to submit a filing that we believe in good faith is inaccurate, incomplete, unlawful or not authorized by your business. We will tell you why, so you can correct it and approve it again.
What you confirm
By granting this authorization, and each time you approve a filing, you confirm that:
- the information in it is true, accurate and complete, to the best of your knowledge
- you have authority to act and sign for the business
- you reviewed the filing before approving it
Agency portal logins
If you save logins for agency websites, they are encrypted in a vault. Placetta's filing software, and our filing team when it takes over, open them only to file for you, and every opening is recorded in your audit trail.
Agencies decide
Agencies decide approvals and timelines. Placetta cannot guarantee that an application will be approved, or when.
Revoking this authorization
You can revoke this authorization at any time in writing, by emailing support@placetta.com from the email address on your account. Deleting your account in Settings also revokes it for the workspaces that are deleted. Revocation takes effect when we receive it. After that, we will not submit any further applications for you, including approved ones not yet submitted.
Applications already submitted to an agency cannot be recalled by Placetta. To withdraw one, contact the agency.
